Freezing and Packing

Image of the freezing process

The size reduced meat is frozen or chilled and visually inspected on a conveyor prior to packing.

Every stage of the process is quality controlled and the environments all comply with standards in food production. Our chilled air handling units help to maintain a constant, chilled atmosphere within the factory. 2 micron pre-filters and 0.6 micron hepa filters guarantee a clean and dust free atmosphere.

Auto Packing of Cooked Chicken

Whilst constantly being checked by our operators for incorrect size or other potential inaccuracies the frozen chicken is elevated to the automatic packing line.

Automatic Packing Operation

The weigh cells on the automatic packing line ensure each bag is packed to the declared weight.

This allows us to measure out precise weights specified by the customer and helps standardise the product bags. This automatic operation is an additional tool in Kookaburra’s armour ensuring finite weight control .

If you order a certain size and weight of cooked chicken from Kookaburra you can be sure that you will recieve exactly what you expect. This offers our customer assurance that they can rely on the service we supply.

Final Pack & Metal Detection.

Packed product is labelled and metal detected prior to entry into despatch chill.

This is vital to ensure that no un-wanted foreign bodies have made their way into the final packaged product.
